From humble beginnings in a garage, the St. Leo Food Bank has become one of the largest emergency food pantries in Pierce County. Our goal is to offer each of our clients at least three days of food for each member of their household.
The Food Bank Hours
The open hours for the St. Leo Food Bank can change depending on holidays and “closure weeks” which happen throughout the year. We do our best to include unusual schedules on our home page. If you are unsure or have a question, please give us a call at 253-383-5048.
Volunteers are essential members of our team and help us get ready in the mornings, work with clients during the day, and clean up after we close. Here are the hours for volunteering at the St. Leo Food Bank.
Visit our volunteer page to learn how to start volunteering.
Your First Time Visiting?
We are a walk-in food bank, so no appointment or paperwork is needed! Just come by during the open hours above. All you need for your first time are:
- the first names and birthdays of each member of your household
- bags or a box to take your food with you
The St. Leo Food Bank is more than just a food pantry. We work to provide great support so our clients can be healthy and fulfill any other needs they may have. With this in mind, we host representatives from other agencies that provide:
Blood pressure checks
Connection to health insurance
Job training and skill building
Nutrition and cooking demonstrations
Community connection and authentic relationships
Who to Contact
We have a number of staff who make this program possible. Visit our team page to find the staff member who best fits your needs.
